How PanAmerican Seed's new dahlia, osteo products are licensed
Dahlias and Osteospermums
The Dalina Dahlia product line consists of the Maxi, Midi and Mini series. All are full of class leaders with excellent performance in the garden. Existing breeding in this class showcases beautiful, award-winning colors and bicolors, like Fleuroselect Gold Medal winner Tequila, as well as appealing flower forms for emerging markets in Asia.
The acquired Osteospermum genetics are two series – one with single flowers as well as the PasoDoble double-flowered series. Their cold-tolerance and award-winning colors have risen in esteem in their retail markets, including Enrico, a Fleuroselect Gold Medal winner.
Licensing
PanAmerican Seed intends to license a group of companies to produce and sell Dahlia cuttings and young plants in Europe. This will include Florensis, Ball Colegrave, Graines Voltz and Selecta One. According to PanAmerican Seed, the companies listed above are assessing their production and assortment, and will certainly have a full range of these genetics available for the 2019 season. Licensing in other parts of the world are currently under review.
In North America, the Dahlia genetics have been available exclusively through the Proven Winners group under the Dalina Grande name. This will continue for 2019.
The Osteospermum products are licensed in Europe by Florensis and will be licensed in North America by Ball FloraPlant.
