New tulip variety 'baptized' in New York City during tulip event

The Future 400 tulip is a tulip variety that was unveiled during TULIP DAY in New York City. This variety pays tribute to the first Dutch settlers who arrived on Governor's Island 400 years ago. More than just a flower, it is a symbol of enduring friendship and alliance between the United States and the Netherlands, aiming to carry this bond forward for another 400 years.

The Future 400 tulip stands out with its unique dark orange color. It is especially robust, thus making it a premium choice for cut tulip production. This tulip blooms every year from December onwards, offering a vibrant touch to the winter season. In the future, when the crop is large enough, the tulip will be available throughout the season, which will make it a favored choice for cut tulip production, adding a touch of elegance to any setting.
