US (TX): Texas A&M AgriLife Extension offers plant propagation workshop
The cost is $20 per person, and participants must pay when they register in order to hold their spot in the class. To register, contact Beth McMahon, AgriLife Extension horticulturist for Gillespie County, at 830-997-3452 or elizabeth.mcmahon@ag.tamu.edu.
Due to limited materials, the workshop will be open to only 30 attendees, McMahon said.

“This workshop is for people who want to learn how to create duplicates of their own plants instead of buying new ones,” McMahon said. “If there’s a particular plant you love and would like to have more of but haven’t been able to find it in stores, then plant propagation is the answer.”
The first half of the program will consist of a broad overview on the science behind plant propagation and cover general methods of propagating plants. The second half will have three stations where participants will engage in hands-on plant propagation techniques.
“Participants will rotate from station to station and will get to visit all three stations set up for the workshop,” McMahon said. “Attendees should expect to take home some plants.”
