The main focus of Selecta One's new Perennials catalogue is their Autumn Friends concept – diverse plant combinations for late summer and autumn. According to figures published by the Agricultural Market Information Service, plant sales increase in autumn. The long mild remaining weather makes this trend possible. Furthermore, consumers prefer ready plant mixes because of easy care. All varieties, which are suitable for the autumn mixes, are marked with the Autumn Friends logo.
With their broad range of easy to cultivate, hardy and compact perennials, Selecta One offers proven and also new varieties, for example Gentiana cultivars sel Luis Easy White, Muehlenbeckia complexa Muehlenbeckia, Salvia cultivars Salmia Orange, Sedum cultivars Little Master and Little Missy.
The breeder also highlights again their new pot carnation varieties Peach Party, Early Love and Purple Wedding, which have proved effective at producers and which are supported by strong marketing concepts.
New within the selection of in-vitro propagated varieties are the three Echinacea purpurea varieties Eccentric Yellow, Sensation Pink Compact and Meditation Lime. The breeder also adapted its assortment of Heuchera cultivars regarding colour selection and production suitability. Here, they have integrated 6 new varieties.
Many of their grasses varieties are also suitable for Autumn Friends combinations. They are easy to care for, often hardy and still in vogue. Especially the MiniRooter assortment is interesting: Acorus gramineus (only Oborozuki), Carex hachijoensis, Festuca cinerea und Imperata cylindrica, Pennisetum x advena (only Rubrum & Chelsea). In the catalogue you find also the Lavendula assortment and a selection of Aromatics.
For the first time you will find in the perennial catalogue an assortment of Dipladenia: it allows Selecta One to present their last selection of Dipladenia right in time for you to choose your future assortment. As novelty for 2019 they introduce a new colour in their series Magnetica, suitable for big pots with trellis: Magnetica Bright Red.
