March 23-27:

Are you ready for California Spring Trials 2019?

The California Spring Trials are almost upon us, and the participants are ready to welcome their visitors at various locations in California from March 23-27. Over the last few weeks, FloralDaily highlighted one novelty from each of the participating companies. Today, in this final edition we will reveal the top products from companies, Beekenkamp, Syngenta Flowers and J. Berry.

Beekenkamp - Esmé Peach
Meet the newest recruit to the DREAMS family of Beekenkamp. Her name is Esmé Peach. "She has dark leaves in combination with a vivid bright Peachy flower color and likes it outdoors very much." (Visit Beekenkamp to see more novelties at Floricultura, 25425 Esperanza Road, Salinas, CA 93908, Click here to email the company for more information)

Syngenta Flowers - Imara impatiens
Following up the groundbreaking launch of Imara impatiens last year in Europe, Syngenta Flowers has two new colors added to this series that fill out the offering in the Imara series. This year, they are launching Imara to the US and Canada with a full launch at Spring Trials. Brandon Willis mentions a few key points on Imara: "Strong and resistant, Imara is stronger and more resistant to downy mildew than ever before. With outstanding garden performance, Imara will survive in the garden until first frost. These tough plants enable consumers to use in positions of full sun, partial or full shade. The resilience of Imara results in outstanding garden performance in weather rain or shine." (Visit Syngenta Flowers to see more novelties on 2280 Hecker Pass Road, Gilroy, CA 95020, Click here to email the company for more information.)

J. Berry - Crown Jewel Begonia Collection
Also J. Berry is presenting innovation and sustainable solutions for the global audience of growers, brokers, retailers, and garden communicators at the California Spring Trials. For 2019, they will be featuring the newest breeding in our Crown Jewel Begonia Collection. "Crown Jewels provide steadfast color and texture spring through frost, and are heat and drought tolerant with no inclination for disease or pest issues. These plants add an effortless royal touch, and provide rock solid performance in partially shaded landscapes, patio containers, hanging baskets and are also easy-maintenance houseplants." (Visit J. Berry Nursery to see more novelties at Windmill Nursery, 925 W Hwy 246, Buellton, CA 93427. Click here to email the company for more information).

Kapiteyn - Captain Dynamo
Captain Dynamo is a new variety in the Captain Calla range developed by Kapiteyn breeding and is genetically compact and short. "It is known for its outstanding plant lifetime, it has a huge quantity of flowers, an elegant shape and bright color of the flower." (Visit Kapiteyn at Syngenta Flowers at 2280 Hecker Pass Road, Gilroy, CA 95020. Click here to email the company for more information)
