Ethiopian grower awarded for role in community

Bellaflor's farm in Ethiopia has been awarded, by the Oromian Labor and Social Affairs Office, a certificate announcing them as the best farm in 2019 to comply with and to follow correct investment procedures, as well as providing labor stability and peace for the surrounding community.

"We are very pleased and honored to receive this award. It is a reflection of the hard work we have invested every day into our Corporate and Social Responsibility Plan and the appreciation shown by the Ethiopian Authorities is a wonderful recognition of our efforts", said Maricarmen Ocejo of Bellaflor.

"We love what we do and this evidences itself in many ways. For example, improving the quality of life of our team through fair employment practices. Treating our workers fairly and taking their needs into consideration, makes for a long lasting difference in the social collective memory of an entire community that will continue throughout time.

"We are committed to continue to the improvement of the lives of our employees and their families in Oromia, Ethiopia and we are grateful to the authorities for their recognition."
