We're not going to emphasize again the importance of hygiene in horticulture, not dwelling on virus pressure and not talking about the urge to organize your crop rotation. We're just showing various solutions to these issues. One of the newly realised products is the Hortiwash. This device can be used for washing gutters.
The Hortiwash can also be equipped with a head, thanks to which you can also wash the glass of the greenhouse.
Platform scissor lift system
The Hortiwash is made of steel that's protected against corrosion. The operator's station allows the nozzles to work at different heights ranging from 20 to 100 centimeters, the adjustment takes place thanks to the platform scissor lift system.
At the back of the washer, a high-pressure hose reel was mounted, which could hold up to 250 meters of hose. Turbo-nozzles were used to clean the gutters, which are able to wash even the dirtiest gutters.
Hortiwash technical data: LxWxH: 2010x870x2180 mm, working platform 455x670 mm. The machine is 350 kg and the platform can be adjusted from 500 up to 1000 mm in height. The waterproof motor power is 0.5 kW and the machine works on maintenance-free gel batteries of 140Ah.
Sealed hermetic housing
Both Hortiwash drive motors and hose reel motors have IP-66 protection. The electronics of the device are enclosed in a sealed hermetic housing.
The drive system allows you to work at different CTC of pipes depending on the greenhouse solution applied and ranges from 420-600 mm. There is no need to change the axles anymore and built-in batteries allow continuous 8-hour operation.
The Hortiwash is also available in a version that can be mounted on the Hortitech 2HD 3.0. This trolley was recently updated to improve safety and user-friendliness.
