Storm Ciara razed over Europe, leading to several disruptions across the continent as well as in the UK. So how are the greenhouses doing?
In the Netherlands, insurance company Interpolis informed us that only three glasshouses (1 in the Westland and 2 in Limburg) were damaged (broken glass). The exact number of broken glass and damage is currently being recorded. Furthermore, several repairers and service companies did not announce any large damages.
In the UK, it seems that, locally, there were heavier winds. A clear picture is not made yet, but we saw a Twitter post of the following cucumber grower who was walking inside the greenhouse when glass broke.

...and Seiont Nurseries LTD also lost some covers of their plastic greenhouses:

Precautionary measurements worked, like a shield of tractors to protect the strawberry tunnels against the wind.
