On June 26, the Esmeralda Group and Sunshine Bouquet Company entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Sunshine Bouquet will acquire all the operations of the Esmeralda Group in Ecuador, Colombia and the United States. This was announced by the two companies in a letter they've sent to their customers, suppliers and partners yesterday, June 29.
The letter, written and signed by Clarisse Ulrich of The Esmeralda Group and John Simko of Sunshine Bouquet Company, continues by saying that the acquisition couples the best-in-class capabilities and strengths from both companies, including Sunshine Bouquet's leadership position and expertise in the mass market and Esmeralda's innovative products, branding and well established network of wholesale distributors. "This combination will create multiple synergies that will allow us to even better serve the needs of the entire spectrum of the fresh floral market in the United States and beyond."
They conclude their letter by stressing that the Esmeralda Group customers can continue using the same channels they have been using. "For us, it will always be about the customer. All sales support, agreements and contracts for all entities of the Esmeralda Group remain unchanged, so please continue to use the same channels you have been using.
