De Ruiter presents assortment at "Exposed" Ecuador

Last week, on Tuesday, December 15 and Wednesday, December 16, complying to all hygiene and social distance regulations and via the digital channels, De Ruiter presented "Exposed" Ecuador. They managed to import new and upcoming rose varieties in different cutting stages out of Ecuador. They presented them to buyers, sellers, packers and marketeers. 

The assignment of Latin Expo Latin Exposed® 2020 consisted of the evaluation of the upcoming and existing assortment on bud, color, transport sensitivity and commercial value. Despite the current hygiene and social distance regulations and the digital presentation, the interest for the initiative was high. All roses on display had a code.

The results are processed and shared with the remaining judges and colleagues out of Ecuador. With this information, they can even better inform their clients with the opinions out of the market. The varieties on display all meet the expectations of De Ruiter for 2021, says Örjan Hulshof, International Sales and Marketing manager at De Ruiter.

The Exposed presentation gives De Ruiter the confirmation that the breeder is delivering added value to the grower as well as the trade. By reviewing the results of this Latin Exposed, it seems that De Ruiter is on the right track in providing the growers with the varieties that are demanded in the market.

In 2021, De Ruiter will again present their varieties and developments. Also during COVID-19, they showed their varieties and are in touch with the entire chain of the sector.
