Noviflora strengthens its position in Sweden

Noviflora has further strengthened its position in Sweden through the acquisition of the Swedish company Carlsson Blomstergrossisten i Borås AB. This takeover reflects Noviflora’s multi-local strategy based on market leadership, which focuses on the market areas of Northern and Central Europe. Borås will be Noviflora’s fourth branch in Sweden, alongside Gothenburg, Helsingborg and Uppsala.

Over the past few years, Carlsson Blomstergrossisten i Borås AB has profiled itself as a premium quality supplier of flowers, plants, and accessories to florists and garden centers in Western and Central Sweden. Carlsson Blomstergrossisten i Borås will continue to operate from its current location in Borås.

Noviflora Directors Xander van Reisen and Hendrico de Brabander: “We are immensely proud of this expansion. Taking over the Swedish company allows Noviflora to strengthen its position in this market, in which we have been active for many years. In addition to our existing businesses in Sweden, it enables us to substantially boost our local presence, creating the shortest possible route from greenhouse to point of sale for our national and international product. Carlsson Blomstergrossisten’s Cash & Carry is centrally located in Sweden, and they have a unique logistics network with sales trucks, with online sales via the webshop playing a prominent role. Through further integration into the markets where the family business is already a leading exporter, Noviflora wants to increase its role as a long-term quality supplier of flowers and plants in its core market areas.”
