Japan wants fossil-free greenhouses by 2050

Japan has recently set new sustainability targets. For greenhouse horticulture, this means that greenhouses must be fossil-free by 2050. In addition, Japan plans to grow organically at a quarter of the total production area by 2050 and reduce chemical crop protection by 50%.
