“We are all getting more and more used to doing everything online, which is why we decided to create this interactive, virtual space to present our new bouquet collection,” says Pieter Landman, Creative Director of Sande Flowers, an Ecuadorian flower farm. “Flowers and fashion are all around us, making a daily statement in so many ways. We combined them together, creating ‘The Flower Fashion Show’."
An interactive fashion show
The show is set as a flower market at The Plaza de San Francisco, a major public square in the Historic Center of Quito, Ecuador. “The show is complemented by a unique and personalized runway soundtrack composed by DJs Barbé & Jota, enhancing the variety of flowers grown by Sande Flowers. The flowers are displayed in colored blocked market stalls, combined with our new bouquet collection developed by Pieter Landman based on the latest fashion trends.”
All models in ‘The Flower Fashion Show’ proudly work at Sande Flowers. “They are wearing a handmade poncho, crafted using locally grown cotton, spun, woven, and handmade by local artisans. They walk the runway presenting our new Bouquet Collection named after stylish cities in the world.” After watching the fashion show, visitors can ‘walk around’ the market themselves and see videos of the bouquets they are interested in.
