Designing bouquets for weddings forever an honor

“Every event or wedding that I create arrangements for is special for me, no matter the client’s budget, their vision or how well they have planned. It is always an absolute honor to be an important part of a day that they will remember forever,” says Raysa Farah, owner and florist of LK Verdant.

LK Verdant is an independent florist in North West England that has been featured by Vogue, Grazia and Harper’s Bazaar for its elegant and unique arrangements, all handmade by Raysa in her workshop. As Raysa explains, LK Verdant does not limit itself to the major trends in the floristry business but instead focuses on providing a unique blend of flowers that are in season, create an inviting environment and that bring her joy.

Although the pandemic postponed numerous weddings and events, LK Verdant experienced a never-before-seen demand which led the company to relaunch its FlowerFix service, which delivers seasonal fresh flowers across the United Kingdom directly to customers’ doorsteps.

“When you can’t see your family, what’s the first thing that you think to send them? Flowers and a card. Despite it being more difficult to source from our regular supplier due to their lack of staffing, we made it work,” says Raysa.

Intimate weddings a new reality post-pandemic
In a press release published in 2020, LK Verdant spoke to the increasing popularity in intimate weddings with very few guests. Although initially triggered by the pandemic-related restrictions to gatherings, it seems that micro weddings may be here to stay as couples ditch the long invitation list in favor of a wedding with a handful of guests.

“There’s something special about a small, romantic occasion where flowers can be immaculately planned out – unlike large-scale weddings that tend to showcase roses and peonies in overload,” according to the press release, which was published by Independent Lancashire.

Whether delivering bespoke floral arrangements to intimate weddings, larger events or directly to letterboxes in the UK, LK Verdant prides itself on delivering timeless arrangements that elicit joy and awe, reflecting Raysa’s own perspective towards flowers.

“I am beyond excited to get my hands back into creating bespoke, intimate and fresh floral set-ups as we come out of this pandemic,” Raysa says.

“For years, I have hand-selected flowers that are in season, that bring me joy and create an inviting environment. For 2022, several shades of blue are leading. Blue peonies, tulips and agapanthus are what I am currently obsessing over and using at any given opportunity,” explains Raysa.
