From January 24 to January 27, Dutch breeder HBA from De Kwakel will introduce a number of new pot hydrangeas at the IPM Essen in Germany. On display are Fabolo blue and Floria blue, among others. The new catalog 2023/2024, containing a complete overview of the pot range, is also available at the HBA stand (hall 1, no. B29).
Fabolo blue stands out because of the bright blue, dense mopheads. The plants respond extremely well to aluminum. The plants develop uniformly into compact shapes.
The double-flowered lacecap Floria blue has soft blue flowers fading into green over time. Floria is very suitable for growing in larger pot sizes due to its moderate to strong growth vigor.
In addition to these hydrangeas, the new HBA catalog 2023/2024 offers many more appealing types of hydrangeas that are suited as pot and garden plants. The catalog also contains an overview of the paniculatas developed by HBA.
