Vietnam: Markets crowded ahead of Tet festival

A week before Tet, Vietnam's Lunar New Year holiday, shopping for flowers and ornamental trees is in full swing at flower markets around the city.

Ha Dong district has opened nine spring flower markets, said Nguyen Van Khanh, Vice Chairman of Van Phuc ward's People's Committee. In Nam Tu Lien district, a flower market has opened in front of My Dinh National Stadium, with 90 flower and bonsai booths and 60 booths selling handicrafts, wood furniture, fruits, confections, and beverages.
