Herburg Roses

𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥

Yesterday we celebrated the official opening of our school. A milestone we've worked towards with great care, dedication, and teamwork over the past few years.

Thanks to the support of our customers who choose Fairtrade flowers, we were able to start building the first phase of the school. Today, it provides education to 42 children, grouped into classes based on their specific needs: physical, visual, hearing or learning disabilities.

𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, 𝐰𝐞'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞. 𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟓𝟎 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧.

The children also receive a nutritious lunch every day, made possible by the support of Dutch Flower Foundation.

The opening ceremony was a special moment, filled with student performances, speeches and words of encouragement from Fairtrade Africa, Gonzaga Mungai, PMP®.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this possible — especially our involved colleagues, customers who choose Fairtrade and Dutch Flower Foundation for their continued commitment.
