NL: "39 bottleneck issues on a list full of challenges with crop protection"

Minister Wiersma has provided the Dutch House of Representatives with a list of current issues related to crop protection, as raised by parties within the agricultural sector. These sector parties have pledged to work towards solutions, with government support. For instance, businesses can apply for public-private partnership (PPS) projects to conduct practical research into alternative crop protection methods. Additionally, the Small Applications Fund offers financial support for obtaining approvals of crop protection products for minor crops. The sector also has the option to apply for exemptions to use non-approved crop protection products in urgent situations.

The list includes viruses in bulb cultivation and aphids in lettuce cultivation as issues. View the full list here (link text in Dutch).
