US: Color Orchids acquires Floricultura Pacific

Color Orchids, Inc. has acquired Floricultura Pacific, Inc., a Salinas-based grower focused on pre-finished orchids for the North American market. Floricultura Pacific was previously owned by Floricultura Netherlands, one of the largest and oldest Dutch orchid breeders in the world, with operations in China, India, the Netherlands, Poland, and Brazil.

Selecta relocates Ethiopian URC production to Kenya and Uganda

At the end of the current B&B season, the Selecta Group will relocate URC production from its Kunzila site in northern Ethiopia to its main locations in Kenya and Uganda. The unstable political situation and uncertain military environment were the primary reasons for this decision.
