During the upcoming FlowerTrials, from June 9 to 12, Walter Blom Plants will present three distinctive garden plants that meet the demand for strong, colourful, and bee-friendly varieties: Salvia Malabar® Mighty Pink, Monarda Elegant, and Polemonium Violet Heart. With these introductions, the company underscores its focus on innovation, ornamental value, and sustainability within the perennial plant range.
Extremely large flowers of Salvia Malabar Mighty Pink
Malabar Mighty Pink produces extremely large, soft pink flowers that are nearly twice as large as all other known Salvia x jamensis selections. The plant is also known for its compact growth, strong branched stems, long flowering period, and proven winter hardiness. On these criteria, Malabar Mighty Pink outperforms most competitors and wins by a wide margin in terms of flower size.

Elegance and biodiversity with Monarda Elegant
With four colours of Monarda Elegant, Walter Blom Plants presents a graceful and robust plant that is not only visually appealing but also contributes to biodiversity. The profusely flowering flowers attract bees and butterflies. These four modern varieties are more compact and disease-resistant. The larger plants are suitable for pots of 3 to 5 liter.

Unique foliage color with Polemonium Violet Heart
Polemonium reptans varieties are more compact, with flowers positioned close to the foliage. Polemonium blooms from late spring to early summer and offers a beautiful combination of flowers and foliage. Violet Heart® features purple-green foliage and white flowers with a purple center, which are lightly fragrant. Voted the crowd favorite of our FlowerTrials visitors in 2025.
