Operations Manager
We are recruiting an experienced Protected Crop Site manager to join our team for an ambitious project in India, enabling BIOGROW India to support local producers in their development.
Job description
Your role will involve managing all activities related to greenhouse production on a pilot farm, by supervising cultivation managers.
You will also be responsible for running the site, which includes:
- Establishing training cycles for local producers
- Monitoring R&D tests
- Organizing visits for our partners
- Training local Biogrow employees on all protected cropping techniques
- Development of site for future growth and supervising day-to-day operations
- Conducting field visits to our Indian clients
In close collaboration with the General Manager India, you will follow all current projects to gain a clear understanding of our overall development strategy in India. Depending on the needs, you may be required to replace him and take charge of part of the responsibilities linked to the production of substrates.
Skills and requirements
- Good knowledge of above-ground crops (tomatoes, peppers, strawberries)
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly adaptable.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience working overseas in a management role is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong leadership qualities, combined with a willingness to listen and learn from others.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Results-oriented, motivated, and able to manage stress.
