GrowSave will host two events with a focus on important energy related set-up and maintenance issues that need consideration, ready for the forthcoming winter.
Why you should come
The programme is designed for both ornamentals' and edibles' growers with nurseries that have heating systems, particularly those who grow energy intensive crops in late autumn and winter. The events' content will be tailored to suit a wide range of responsibilities – growers, supervisors and maintenance staff.
These are informal training days, where you’ll have the opportunity to put your heating system questions to the experts from both Farm Energy Centre and industry heating installers.
Topics include
Energy/fuel cost and metering, boiler efficiency, direct fired air heating, the importance of insulation, valves and sensors, how does your system work, controls, integrating renewable energy as a leading system, greenhouse and boiler-house tour to identify points of improvement for further discussion.
