Terra Nova Nurseries announced a sneak peek of a new variety named Coleus Color Clouds ‘Be Mine’. Now available to growers seeking information about liner options, this coleus has a fast growth rate and finish time. The variety is the newest addition to the company’s Color Clouds Series.
Coleus Color Clouds ‘Be Mine’ stands out from other coleus varieties in many ways. It has large, deep-red foliage with green-gold edges. This and all of the series’ varieties are self-branching and trailing. ‘Be Mine’ has a broad mounding habit, strong vigor, fast growth rate, and finish time of 4” in three to four weeks.
Its draping leaves make it suitable for hanging baskets and large mixed containers. The variety can also be used in summer shade borders and mass bed and border plantings. It thrives in full to part shade.
Coleus Color Clouds ‘Be Mine’ requires well-drained soil with moderate organic content. Neither pinching, nor Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) are required.
Even though the most active growing season is spring, this variety blooms in August, September and October.
