NL: New semi-automatic watering robot for narrow pipe-rails

"We have a number of spray/watering robots in our assortment, but this customer was looking for a specific model: With odd dimensions suitable for selective watering", says Henk Bot of De Vette CV. "That's why we started with it. The track width of the pipe-rail is 29 centimeters, instead of the standard 42, 50 or 55 centimeters. Is it difficult to find the balance and the distribution? That, according to Henk, was not too difficult. "But we were already familiar with the underside of the car. We had previously developed supply cars for this particular company. So we already had experience with the dimensions."

The watering robot is now being employed by Egmond Lisianthus, plant supplier of lisianthus, but Henk sees no reason why it could not be used in other cultivations. "Of course it would be nice if we could make some more, but we could also develop other sizes or applications. We are working daily on equipment and installations for horticulture. From harvesting machines, spraying and watering robots, bucket and vase fillers to applications for crop protection and monorail and tube rail systems. That will turn out great."
