This AHDB factsheet describes how water application rates and uniformity can be measured and improved for overhead irrigation systems for container-grown crops.
It should be used in conjunction with the AHDB Horticulture Irrigation Calculator which enables irrigation distribution patterns to be viewed as a 3D graph. Examples of common distribution patterns achieved for overhead systems are provided together with recommendations on how these can be improved.
