Picture a sea of lavender in a blue-white color palette. Well, that is how a nursery might look like when it is filled with Hishtil’s new series of English Lavender, Lavandula angustifolia 'BeeZee'. The series, bred by world famous plant breeder David Kerley, consists of five different colors, with the same flowering window.
BeeZee™ series
BeeZee was introduced by Hishtil last year at 'Flower Trials'. The interest has increased since. Haim Rosenblum: “We already sent samples to clients that showed interest to do overwinter planting and feedbacks are promising. The plants present uniform appearance and the series characteristics suggest to make great mixing pots.”

Matching compact habit and flowering time
According to Haim Rosenblum the series is special mainly because of the equally compact growth habit in a wide range of flower colors. Furthermore, the early and uniform flowering of BeeZee, compared to other angustifolia varieties, is an advantage. “Compact plant habit allows dense cropping and saving costs in transport to market, offering higher profits for the grower. The series has lots of flowers that will attract bees and keeps them busy throughout the long flowering season.”
