Bioline App.
The Bioline App is a mobile application developed by Bioline Agrosciences to help producers and distributors to implement their biocontrol programs in the best conditions.
The goal of this application is simple: to make Integrated Pest Management and protection with beneficials accessible to all producers. Sébastien Rousselle, bio-solutions marketing manager, explains the concept: "The Bioline App brings together many tools in a single place. It is no longer necessary to be cluttered with multiple sources of information, many sites or datasheets. Everything is gathered in the same place and updated regularly."
The Bioline App was launched in October 2019 to meet the needs of professionals. It has been designed in partnership with users to identify key features that may be needed by producers using beneficial insects and other integrated pest management solutions. The application can be used in all cropping systems (greenhouses, open fields) and on most crops (vegetables, cereals, arboriculture, vines ...). It is aimed at producers as well as sales engineers in agricultural distribution.
From pests to solutions: natural browsing
The application is an accurate source of information on both pests and insects. The user can easily find the solution adapted to his problem using the search tool and then discover in detail the mode of use of the chosen beneficial. The user will also be able to draw inspiration from standard protection programs and discover new integrated pest management solutions. The compatibility check tool will be very useful for producers wishing to use both insects and plant protection products. With a single click, simply choose the beneficial used, choose the phytosanitary product envisaged to instantly discover the level of compatibility between the two. And since agricultural plots are not always in areas well covered by telephone networks, the user can simply activate the offline mode, making the application accessible anywhere, with or without a connection.
More than an information tool, an interactive tool
Cropping conditions are very variable from one producer to another: this therefore requires constant adjustment of crop protection programs. "The Bioline App gives the opportunity to our community of partners to interact with each other and with our teams to find the answer perfectly adapted to their needs", explains Sébastien Rousselle. This forum is reserved for Bioline Agrosciences’ partner users, as well as other tools for monitoring and tracking the advice provided in a crop.
Just launched, already adopted
"Just a few days after it went online, several hundred accounts have been created around the world. France, England, United States, Spain, Mexico... The App responds to a wide variety of needs. The App is an excellent vehicle for promoting the use of biocontrol solutions and reducing the use of conventional products. It introduces farmers to new products adapted to their problems. Recommendations for use promotes better controlled interventions that enhance the effectiveness of IPM programs through better compliance of doses and dates of interventions. All these combined elements provide secured results, peace of mind for producers and therefore controlled costs," explains Sébastien Rousselle.
Available for free in several languages
"We wanted an application accessible to all, easy to use and intuitive
to browse," says Sébastien Rousselle. "That’s why it’s totally free and
available in many languages." Already three languages are available:
French, English and Spanish. It can be downloaded immediately on iOS and Android application stores.
