Indian breeder, tissue culture producer and exporter Rise n' Shine is the first from the private sector to be authorised as official training center for floriculture crop from National Horticulture Board of India (NHB), they announced in a press release.
National Horticulture Board in India are giving subsidy to farmers for protected cultivation of flowers for high-tech farming. Investment is very huge compared to the traditional one. However, Dr Mahammed Ariz Ahammed, Managing Director of NHB noticed that failure ratio of High-Tech projects are more due to lack of knowledge.
During his visit to Rise n' Shine (RNS) facility at Theur, Pune on 5th Aug 2019, he noticed that, RNS have one of the best infrastructure and many collaborations with foreign companies and these companies are transferring breeding technology and growing knowledge to RNS which is to be penetrated to the end user i.e. farmer.
Rise n Shine is conducting a training programme for their customers for a very long time. After seeing the training facility and vision of the Chairperson and Managing Director Dr Bhagyashree Patil, Dr Mahammed Ariz Ahammed decided to train the farmers, who are going to avail the subsidy, in a private institute like Rise n Shine.
Hence ours is the first Private institution for such training. The MD and Chairperson of RNS Dr Bhagyashree Patil accepted the proposal given by Dr Mahammed Ariz Ahammed for the benefit of farmers. Training programme syllabus were prepared after discussion with IARI New Delhi, IIHR Bangalore and published on NHB website. RNS is the first organisation from the private sector as an 'approved Training Institute for NHB"
