"Giving webinars instead of on-site workshops has its advantages"

Floriday's implementation consultants used to spend a lot of time on the road. They visited growers throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany to demonstrate the possibilities offered by Floriday and to provide a little help getting started. Diede Barendse of Floriday talked to Laura, Robbert and Joery about the new approach, the online sessions and the changes.

What has been your experience of giving webinars to growers in the current situation?
Laura: We have noticed that giving webinars instead of on-site workshops has its advantages. We can reach more people at once and it saves travel time, both for us and for the grower. We miss the personal contact we have during workshops, of course, but the pandemic it has taught us that online webinars are certainly a good tool to help get growers started using Floriday.

What changes have you had to make?
Robbert: The biggest change has obviously been that we have changed our face-to-face meetings at the nurseries into online meetings. We now not only give webinars, but also speak to growers one-on-one using Teams. In addition, we had to move all our webinar supplies (additional screens, special software, etc.) from the office to our home offices. We are also constantly adapting. After each webinar, a survey is sent out and we use the feedback to further improve our webinars.

Are any questions being asked more frequently during this corona period? If so, which ones?
Joery: We haven’t heard any specific new questions during the corona period. We did notice less interest in our webinars during the first weeks of the corona outbreak. Since the world was effectively turned upside down, this was completely understandable. Over the last few weeks, we have seen the numbers grow again each week!
