June 23-27:

California Summer Trials 2021 in full swing

The California Summer Trials (CAST) are in full swing. They took off yesterday, on June 23, and will last till June 27, where several breeders are showcasing their varieties throughout California. So, how was the first day? According to Sirekit Mol of Beekenkamp Plants, one of the participants, vibes are positive – everyone is happy to see each other again, the weather is nice (not too hot), and the quality of visitors is high. To give an impression of what's on display, she shared some pictures they took at their host location, Green Fuse Botanicals in Santa Paula. Here, Hem Genetics, Schoneveld Breeding and Westhoff are also presenting their varieties.

The trials will last till June 27 and of course, more breeders will present their novelties. Click here to download the location map to see all locations. (All 2021 CAST site gatherings will be by appointment only and will only take place if allowed by local ordinances.)
