The day before the show, on April 27, a series of seminars were held, featuring discussions on new variety protection, garden consumption trends, and the development of e‑commerce for flowers. With the rapid growth of e‑commerce, selling fresh flowers and green plants on online platforms has become very common in China. In the indoor exhibition area, internationally renowned breeding companies such as Sakata, Takii, Benary, and Syngenta presented their classic varieties, including delphinium, morning glory, snapdragon, sunflowers, and more. Green indoor plants have also developed rapidly. At the Hongyue Seed booth, in addition to flowers, many indoor plants such as staghorn fern could be seen. Based on the displays, light‑colored, small‑sized potted plants have become mainstream, appealing more to the aesthetic preferences of the younger generation.

For outdoor booths, hydrangeas were a major highlight. Hydrangeas from both domestic and international growers competed in full bloom, creating a "Hydrangea Castle." Garden roses were another highlight, with potted roses from Harkness Roses in the UK making their debut in the Chinese market.

Bougainvillea was one of the key themes of this year's show. In addition to inviting experts from home and abroad to hold a bougainvillea symposium, a special exhibition of premium bougainvillea was staged at the showground. Bougainvillea offers rich colors, a long blooming period, and heat tolerance—giving it great market potential.
