Ronald Moerings Foundation meets at VDE plant

The members of the Ronald Moerings Foundation met on Friday, 13 May, to listen to Jessica Borgers of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital. She shared one of the latest studies on immunotherapy and melanoma cancer—a study made possible by the Ronald Moerings Foundation.

The Ronald Moerings Foundation consists of (green) entrepreneurs who contribute directly to the AvL through the AvL Foundation. In this way, every euro goes directly to cancer research. Once a year, the members are updated on the latest developments and how the money is spent. This time it took place at the nursery of VDE plant in Woubrugge.

In addition to an annual sum, there are also one-off initiatives or contributions that companies make to the AVL. For example, in September this year, a sponsored bike ride will be organized by Stichting All the Way EFI, and Floramedia will raise money by participating in the Dam tot Damloop by Night.

The Ronald Moerings Foundation wants to grow as a group year on year, to be able to make an ever greater contribution together against this terrible disease. Since its establishment, a total of € 919,337.38 has been raised. This means that at the end of this year, the threshold of one million euros will probably be passed. At the moment, 41 companies have already joined.
