Meet Sira: White Santini with a bright green centre

Royal Van Zanten presents its latest creation: Sira, a white Santini with a striking bright green center. "With strong stems and an exceptionally good vase life, Sira is an absolute must-have which we are launching jointly with LS Santini", the breeder says.

Chrysant Sira

Breeding
Sira was discovered during breeding trials. Then, the variety was extensively tested at LS Santini in Bleiswijk, a Santini grower with a long-standing reputation for quality, sustainability, diversity and continuity. Sira is now commercially available. Sira’s success can be attributed to the combination of flower form and color and its exceptionally long vase life. A winning choice!

To market
With year-round, weekly supplies of as many as 25,000 stems at the Royal FloraHolland auctions in Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk, and Rijnsburg, Sira is ready to conquer the market. In order to shine the spotlight on Sira, last week Wouter Jongkind visited a large number of distributors. Each visit was accompanied by a fresh, summery bouquet of Sira, along with a greeting card highlighting the unique qualities of this beautiful flower: the white petals combined with the bright green center, strong stems, and good vase life. Santini Sira is a good fit for every setting, providing florists with the creative freedom to achieve endless variety.
