UK: Earley Ornamentals’ Plant recommendations for Pantone Peach Fuzz Colour of the Year 2024

Presenting a significant opportunity for UK growers is the Pantone Colour of the Year 2024 - Peach Fuzz. From its extensive range, leading UK young plant producer Earley Ornamentals has compiled a commercial selection of young plant options to capitalise on this trend-evoking colour.

This is Pantone’s 25th Colour of the Year and Peach Fuzz is a colour that sits mid-way between pink and orange.

With UK gardens and the way people garden evolving dynamically, Earley’s range is refined continually, as Simon Earley, managing director at Earley Ornamentals, explains: “Innovative sourcing and regular range reviews ensures our plant offer reflects both retail growing and colour trends. Peach Fuzz is spot on for UK gardens, and we’ve got a great selection of high quality young plant options to offer commercial growers looking to fulfil the upcoming demand for this colour."

Top of Earley’s summer flowering plant selection for Peach Fuzz is the new semi-trailing Verbena Estrella Peach Estrella®, which offers good garden performance and high mildew tolerance. Another new and different summer opportunity is Senoritas® Valencia. These Osteospermum provide brightly coloured, uniform flowers and exceptional growth.

Calibrachoa, Eyeconic™ Compact Sunset, is an added leading alternative with a striking difference in eye colour that works well with LiaTM Melon.

From the popular Nemesia range, look towards Sunsatia Plus Pomelo, Sundrops Mix or a slightly pinker option like fragrant Lady Penelope – especially interesting for sensory or community gardens to promote wellbeing.

In the Begonia range, too, there is plenty of choice, including market-leading Illumination® F1 in Golden Picotee or Peach Shades, Salmon Bicolour, as well as Apricot and Orange shades.

Strong Geranium options are Coral Spice, Deep Salmon, Shadow Coral, Shadow Salmon as well as Geranium Green Leaf Calais and Stefanie or Green Dark Leaf – Loki.

Impatiens that would work in this colour pallet are Beacon Coral or Beacon Salmon and for Dahlia, select Grande Orange Bicolour and Labella Medio Fun Golden Eye.

In the Pinks collection, there is a new colour, Scent First® Sugar Coral, and for an autumn winter flowering option, there are several Cyclamen mixes, including Halios® Curly Mix.
