Royal FloraHolland selects Telindus for IT network management

From fiber optics to access points, the complete management of the network will be in the hands of Telindus. Together with Royal FloraHolland, they have recently signed a contract, with which strategic IT partner Telindus will take over the complete network management. This agreement further expands the global collaboration between Telindus and Royal FloraHolland.

After a long-standing collaboration - more than 25 years - in the form of project and maintenance work, Telindus now also takes on the responsibility for managing the IT network. A network that is of great importance for the services Royal FloraHolland provides to its growers, buyers, and partners.

Martijn Krull, Manager ICT Generic Infrastructure Platforms at Royal FloraHolland, indicates that not only employees of the auction company depend on the network. "We process more than 100,000 transactions daily, involving about 23,000 different types of flowers and plants being traded. We facilitate this as a cooperative, among others, for our more than 4,500 supplying growers. In addition, we have about 160 equipment rooms and ensure WiFi coverage for an area of one million square meters, made possible by approximately 1,400 routers and switches in the LAN/WAN environment. Thus, a stable, high-performance, and secure IT network benefits not only our own employees but also our growers, buyers, and partners. Not just now, but also in the future, as the number of transactions increases and the digital transformation further takes shape. We look forward to shaping and defining this network of the future together with strategic partner Telindus."
