UK: HTA strengthens its membership engagement team

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) has welcomed Jeremy Costello to complete the Membership team as the new Member Engagement Manager for the South East.

He moves to the HTA directly from member The Farplants Group, having been in their marketing, sales and distribution wing. Jeremy also volunteers for the Young People in Horticulture Association (YPHA) committee as their Strategy Manager, helping unite people under 35 in horticulture and making the industry appeal to a younger demographic. Jeremy's experience has allowed him to build connections throughout the horticulture sector, which he will continue to work on as the HTA pushes towards its growth goals and strengthens membership.

Jeremy said: "I am incredibly proud to support HTA members in the South East region. As someone who has grown up on the South Coast, I am excited to work with members in the wider area and do our wonderful industry justice. I look forward to introducing myself over the coming months."

Phoebe Scott also joins the HTA this week as Senior Media Officer. Her previous roles include PR and digital for the Entertainment Retailers Association, and she has additional qualifications in floristry and work-based horticulture.

HTA Chief Executive, Fran Barnes, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Jeremy to the HTA and to our member engagement team. Jeremy's experience and passion for horticulture makes him an excellent addition which I'm sure will be appreciated by HTA members. With the expertise and enthusiasm that both Jeremy and Phoebe bring, along with other recent appointments in the past 18 months, we have significantly strengthened our member engagement, our lobbying, support and advocacy for the industry and the profile of environmental horticulture for the benefit of all our members."
