A new tenant is establishing itself in Aalsmeer-Oost, the business park constructed by Dutch flower company Royal FloraHolland in the town of Aalsmeer located just outside of Amsterdam, as Rosa Plaza, a grower of roses and alstroemeria is finding itself a new home.
The development of Aalsmeer-Oost continues to progress with the new long-term lease agreement signed with Rosa Plaza, who await the development of the Sering building by Royal FloraHolland.
David van Mechelen, CFO of Royal FloraHolland, expressed pride in this development, stating, "Aalsmeer-Oost is a key pillar in our real estate plans and further expansion in Aalsmeer. This development aligns well with the objectives of our Strategy 2030. We are proud to welcome an innovative company like Rosa Plaza to Aalsmeer-Oost soon."
Strategic expansion
Following Marginpar, Rosa Plaza is the second company to establish itself in Aalsmeer-Oost. Rosa Plaza cultivates flowers at two locations in Ethiopia and ships them daily to the company's hub in Aalsmeer for sale. Additionally, Rosa Plaza processes flowers from Minaye Flowers. The grower is well known for its innovative and sustainable cultivation methods, not to mention its high-quality flowers.
Efficiency and a pleasant working environment
Visible from the N201 highway that runs through the town of Aalsmeer in North Holland, the Sering building is easily accessible for transporters, employees, and other visitors. Thanks to the direct connection to Royal FloraHolland's product street and the uninterrupted logistical link (OLV), transport operations are safe and efficient.
Wim Ammerlaan, co-owner of Rosa Plaza, is enthusiastic about being in Sering: "We are proud to take this step, as it offers our company great opportunities for growth and advancements in flower processing. The connection with Royal FloraHolland and the direct link to logistics will help us in our efforts for efficiency. Besides, the building provides our employees with a pleasant workspace featuring ample room and natural light. It will also have a large rooftop terrace next to the company cafeteria, where we can enjoy outdoor lunches when the weather is good. I believe such elements are important, as the well-being of our employees is central, ultimately leading to healthy productivity. We look forward to operating from our new home base in Aalsmeer-Oost."
More space for growth
There is still room for a second tenant in Sering, and the surrounding plots in Aalsmeer-Oost are also ready for construction. Royal FloraHolland expects to be able to announce the names of future tenants soon.
