Groovy Plants Ranch recently unveiled a new greenhouse that will double its greenhouse growing space and provide The Ranch with the ability to produce stronger, better quality plants. Unlike traditional greenhouses, the Rovero roll-air greenhouse is specifically designed to allow plants to be exposed to the elements. By "hardening off" the plants, growers can produce a stronger plant better prepared for the conditions in a buyer's yard.
Groovy Plants Ranch co-owner Jared Hughes said the new greenhouse is 35,000 square feet and will increase their production by 50% once it is fully operational. Hughes added The Ranch was in need of more greenhouse space before he learned about the Rovero greenhouses. Once he knew about their special designs, he knew he had to try it.
"I'm on this relentless pursuit of perfection," he said. Above all, his goal is to provide his customers with a good, quality product.
Made by Dutch manufacturer Rovero, the greenhouse features a patented "roll-air" design. Its roof can completely roll open in just one minute, allowing growers to give plants exposure to natural rain. The walls of the greenhouse similarly move out of the way, providing wind exposure. Both movable features help with temperature control.
