UK: Uplyme Village to host talk on reviving British flower industry

The Uplyme and Lyme Regis Horticultural Society will be hosting a talk on "The Revival of the British Flower Growing Industry" by Charlotte Heavisides on Wednesday, May 28. The talk will be held at Uplyme Village Hall and starts at 7.30pm.

Charlotte is a flower farmer and florist based in the Blackdown Hills with her business Flowers on the Hill. Charlotte will look at the history of the British flower growing industry, documenting its demise and recent resurgence, with some hints and tips on how to grow flowers sustainably.

Doors open at 7pm for refreshments.

Members free; non-members £3.
