Raspberries at back-friendly height

With Rubus idaeus 'Raspbeary', nursery Heinje introduces a compact and eye-catching addition to the berry assortment. This unique "raspberry tree" grows on a 50 cm tall stem, and its upright growth habit makes harvesting the aromatic fruits easy on the back. The variety combines a high yield with strong visual appeal—making it an ideal choice for modern gardens and patio landscapes.

From May to July, Rubus idaeus 'Raspbeary' produces flat, white blossoms, followed by sweet, aromatic, vitamin-rich raspberries from July to September. The fruits are perfect for fresh eating or for making jam. Thanks to the elevated crown, they're easy to pick—an advantage that appeals to both home gardeners and retail professionals.

The 'Raspbeary' raspberry tree is well-suited for planting in garden borders or growing in pots on balconies and patios. The shrub has a compact, upright growth habit and can eventually reach a height of around two meters. With its fresh green, feathered foliage and tidy form, the plant is attractive even outside the fruiting season.

Its flowers are a valuable food source for bees and other pollinators. 'Raspbeary' is self-pollinating, hardy to -20 °C, and low-maintenance, making it an ideal choice for modern, eco-conscious gardeners.

In the trade, 'Raspbeary' is available in a 4.6-liter container featuring a berry-colored design and a hanging tag with an image of the plant. The illustrated bear-themed branding adds strong visual recognition at the point of sale. 'Raspbeary' is offered in both a standard (tree) form and a bushy growth form, providing flexibility for different customer preferences and display setups.
