Denmark: Autumn Trade Fair 2025 returns to Odense

On August 13 and 14, another trade fair kicks off as the nurseries and ornamental plant growers join forces to host the Autumn Plant Fair in the parking lot and packing hall at Alex Andersen, Logistikvej 25A, 5250 Odense SV in Denmark.

The packing hall at Alex Andersen will be filled with ornamental plant growers and suppliers to the industry. They will be ready to present the beautiful ornamental plants and trends of the upcoming season. This is a great opportunity to meet the growers behind the production and learn more about their work with green transition, breeding, and much more.

The parking lot at Alex Andersen will be transformed as the Danish Nurseries Association exhibits seasonal plants, trees, shrubs, and more. There will also be ample opportunity to meet the growers and relevant suppliers to the industry.

"The Trade Fair still matters"
In a time when most communication takes place via email, the Trade Fair is a great opportunity to meet customers face-to-face for a quick discussion of the past or current season – and, not least, the seasons to come. It also serves as a strong showcase if you're presenting a new variety or product, providing quick feedback on its potential market value.
During the less busy hours of the day, conversations between colleagues also help strengthen the sense of community in a sector that, unfortunately, is not growing.

Despite its long history, the Trade Fair remains highly relevant, says Jakob Christensen from Fashion Flowers.

Program
Talks and presentations are scheduled for both days, held in front of the hall and inside the exhibition space. Hear landscape architect Jeanette Thysen speak about plant selection in times of climate change. How do we adapt our choices and select species better suited to the new climate challenges? Trees that can withstand drought, shrubs that survive heavy rain, and perennials that thrive through both flooding and persistent dryness.

The extreme weather of the future – with warmer temperatures and intense rainfall – places new demands on our plant choices for cities, landscapes, forests, and gardens. This talk will present suggestions for future climate-resilient trees, shrubs, and perennials from an experienced plant practitioner in collaboration with the Danish Nurseries Association.

A large tent will be set up in the parking lot, hosting presentations, including Jeanette Thysen, landscape architect, discussing plant selection in the face of climate change. Also, don't miss Lasse Lose from The Pometum at the University of Copenhagen, presenting on new apple varieties.

Inside the packing hall, look forward to a professional presentation hosted by Floradania under the theme: Future Trays in the Ornamental Plant Industry – Inspiration and Insights into Circular Packaging.

Many already experience increasing demands from international customers for circular trays. The session will be followed by food and opportunities for both social and professional networking.
