Clement Tulezi honored as leader in sustainability in Kenya’s floriculture industry

In the spirit of Mashujaa Day, the Kenya Flower Council has honored and celebrated one of its own, a leader of social and environmental sustainability in Kenya's floriculture industry.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Flower Council, Clement Tulezi, was recognized as a National Hero under the Entrepreneurship and Industry category for his outstanding leadership in promoting eco-friendly technology within Kenya's floriculture sector.

Under Tulezi's leadership, the industry has experienced a transformative shift toward sustainable agricultural practices, including water conservation, wastewater recycling, and the adoption of climate-smart technologies. Many flower farms have embraced renewable energy, particularly solar power, significantly reducing carbon emissions while boosting competitiveness.
