"Due to the arrival of large quantities of orange and yellow colour marigolds for Lakshmi Puja. This has affected marigold prices, which dropped to ₹30–50 per kg instead of ₹100–150 per kg." Said the President of the Pimpri Flower Market, Dnyaneshwar Kemse.

Vendors urged customers and retail florists to purchase flowers in quantities of five to seven kilograms per crate. On this day, Lakshmi Puja is performed in all stores, grocery shops, factories, jewellery showrooms, and various offices. Shops and offices are cleaned and decorated mostly with marigold flowers. "Approximately 470 quintals of marigold flowers arrived at the Pimpri flower market from nearby places – Maval, Khed, Mulshi, Jejuri, Loni Kand, and from Jalna, Washim, and Hingoli districts," said AFMC chief in Pimpri flower market.
