Modiform BV and Van Tuijl Haaften BV have reached an agreement on the acquisition of a substantial part of Thomsen's production assets. This step ensures the future continuity of the supply of Thomsen injection-moulded pots.
Previously, Modiform announced that its management and shareholders had decided to gradually and responsibly phase out Thomsen's business activities. The agreement announced today represents an important next step in this process.
Van Tuijl Haaften BV has more than 25 years of experience in the injection moulding of flower pots, flower buckets and soft fruit pots and currently operates approximately 30 injection moulding machines. Thomsen's production activities in France will be discontinued in the first half of July 2026. Until then, Thomsen will focus on producing already confirmed volumes, which will be delivered by Modiform in the coming months.
"With this agreement, we are taking an important step to continue providing certainty to our customers," says Wilma Bloot, CEO of Modiform. "Van Tuijl Haaften BV is an experienced partner in injection moulding production, and we have full confidence that they will successfully continue the production."
