China: Roses for $ 75 at Shanghai retailer

A bouquet of roses for 75 USD? It is possible in China. Last week during the Hortiflorexpo, Our colleague, Boy De Nijs of had a chance to visit several luxury retailers in Shanghai to see what kind of fresh produce and flowers they have to offer, and most important; for what kind of price!

He visited Ole', a luxury retailer that has a supermarket at the Shops at Kerry Parkside in Shanghai's Pudong district. The retailer focuses on the top of the market and has many brands available. They even sell exclusive wines and single malt whiskeys that cost over 5,000 USD per bottle.

Price of bouquet on the left is 48 USD, on the right 75 USD.

Flowers are a very popular item in luxury stores and the prices of bouquets are high. There was even a bouquet priced at 75 USD!
