UK: Optimising crop nutrition and understanding soil steaming techniques

The focus of this workshop, aimed at cut flower growers, is to provide an understanding of the nutritional requirements of the key cut flower crops grown in the UK and an appreciation of the influence of the substrate, whether it be soil or a soilless substrate, in terms of its impact on plant growth.

As a number of the key cut flower crops are also susceptible to soil borne diseases, the second half of the event will focus on soil steaming techniques to provide management of fusarium and other soil borne diseases.
