NL: The last nerine flowers leaving the greenhouse

The season for the cut flower nerine is nearing its end at Dutch flower grower Agrofleur Select. From September to November, they supply the cut flowers and from November till April, the bulbs. Below, a video you can see the nerine flowering in Agrofleur Select's greenhouse and outdoors, on a surface of 9.000m2.

Next to cultivating they are also involved in the breeding of their varieties. After 45 years of breeding, they are created a broad assortment with different colors and lengths. They can supply the flowers with a stem length up to 95 cm. And these
flowers are cut when they are matured on the bulb, in ripeness stage 3-5. "In this way, the flower has the same vase life or probably even longer as a raw cut flower."

Every day, the flowers are being harvested and transported to their customers by G-Fresh.
