Introducing Superbells Prism Pink Lemonade Calibrachoa

Superbells Prism Pink Lemonade is a step away from Proven Winners’ Superbells only in the flower color and constantly evolving color presentation. Prism Pink Lemonade’s flowers, when first opening, are a beautiful lemon yellow color, and then in the next few days, the hints of pink start to express themselves, slowly transiting from lemon yellow to vibrant pink.

Where do these new introductions fit retailers and gardeners?
The Superbells collection of Calibrachoas will always be changing, adjusting for color and form improvements, as well as new color patterns such as Pink Lemonade. The Proven Winners’ standards for Superbells will always be the same: Consumer Garden performance, Thielaviopsis resistance, and Tolerance to pH creep.

In the sales area: The idea to give your customer the ability to select by flower color, growth habit, and vigor or growth rate is critical for success. Adding the Superbells Prism Pink Lemonade brings a unique and color-shifting petal color with easy care into the gardening world.

In the garden: Superbells Prism Pink Lemonade brings a new color dimension to the home gardener. Sometimes, even though there are many “pink” calibrachoas, there are not many will work in combination with so many other plants, pairing with color and plant growth habits. Pink Lemonade’s transitioning color pattern allows your gardeners to pair this plant flower color with purples, blues, brighter yellows, and whites of many different plants.

Are there changes in the cultural requirements?
There are no cultural differences when producing Superbells Prism Pink Lemonade. Again, the Proven Winners’ selection process when searching for new Superbells to add to our program always looks for gardener success first, disease tolerance next, followed by production ease and crop uniformity.
