Omafra’s greenhouse floriculture specialist

Sophie Krolikowski will be the Acting Greenhouse Floriculture Specialist until June 2023.

Sophie has a BSc in agriculture and environmental science from McGill University with a specialization in environmental biology and plant biology.

She also holds a Master’s of Environment and Sustainability from Western University and has recently acted as OMAFRA’s Cereal Crop Specialist.

In addition, Sophie has more than five years of experience as a Research Technician with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), where she worked on plant-insect interactions in a greenhouse environment.

Sophie will be covering all issues related to greenhouse floriculture production, including nutrient and environmental issues, energy, lighting, and labor concerns.
