The Flora Dania Trade Fair is where all the Danish ornamental plant growers exhibit their seasonal products four times a year. It took place last week from March 13-15 and the mood was bright looking into a new spring season with the prospect of a good year.
Both exhibitors and sales consultants were positive about the upcoming season but also mentioned the weather as an important factor for sales during these next three months. "It is crucial for the sale of spring goods, that the consumers feel the urge to spend time in their gardens, and for that, we need some sun", several exhibitors said. The next weeks will be very important for the overall revenue of the year, so both growers and sales consultants hoping for a little more sunshine than they've been giving in February.
Flora Dania Spring Fair is a two-day fair, and 54 companies were exhibiting their products this time. The overall theme of the fair was spring, but the inspiration areas of the fair focused on the trend of integrating plants and flowers into furniture, and how to decorate with and integrate plants into your actual furniture was showcased in different places around the fair.
At this year's Spring Trade Fair, there was a total of 565 visitors – 1/3 of these were professional buyers mainly from Denmark, Sweden Norway, and Holland, but there were also visitors from other countries such as Belgium and Vietnam.
